Team named for world scrabble events

KARACHI: The Pakistan Scrabble Association (PSA) announced the Pakistan team for the World Scrabble Championship (WSC) and Junior World Scrabble Championship (JWSC) on Tuesday.

Addressing a crowded press conference at a local hotel, PSA’s Director Youth Programme Tariq Pervez informed that JWSC will be played at Torquay in England from Oct 20 to 22 while WSC will be played from Oct 23 to 28 at the same venue.

The Director Youth Programme expressed great hopes from the players at the championship as Pakistan is considered the best youth team in the world having won five of the six age categories at last year’s championship in Nottingham.
