Pakistan Scrabble Championship begins today

KARACHI, June 20: The 25th Pakistan Scrabble Championship commences at the Beach Luxury Hotel here on Friday.

The internationally-rated championship will feature about 35 of the top scrabble players in Pakistan.

The silver jubilee edition of the national championship starts with games for the Masters’ category, which will be a three-day event ending on Sunday.

The reigning champion Waseem Khatri this time is expecting stiff competition from a number of youngsters who have improved their game considerably.

The games for student and all other categories will be played in September.

Meanwhile, live results of the tournament will be posted on the Pakistan Scrabble Association website: www.pakistanscrabble.org.
